It started as a personal memo
I was working at that time on a simulation platform for cockpit, and as the team was growing, it was difficult to explain at once the design patterns used for that system, and the details of implementations of the product.
To avoid repeating sessions, I started to record the training and separating the subjects. It is not easy to step back from a specific implementation, and prepare a training journey for a team member, from the need, to the pattern to resolve it, down to the technologic details of the technologies used to realize it.
On every session, thanks to the questions and interaction with the team members, I started to enrich those materials, paying more attention on the patterns and the reasons why we needed to implement them.
This enrichement was beneficial not only for the training, but also to keep the team focus on the need, seeking for improvement of each implementation by better innovative ideas or wide supported standards
Then I wrote a
first private book
At that time, I was fascinated by the fast evolution of the virtualization usage in development and test in a business that was historically driven by high hardware and environmental contraints.
While seeking for ideas outside the domain, I realized that many patterns could be adapted to other digital solutions, and several others could be applied in our domain.
To be able to exchange with others (in web-conference and public events), I separated from the content the information private toour products, and rewrote as a book the various ideas and patterns.
I kept that book private, but used its content as extract for both internal and external communication
One idea
every day
The funny part is that when you start the habit to take note of your ideas, and take some time every day to write them down an reflect on them, you do not want to stop.
So, I started this blog, and once in a while, published an article. Because, even if I keep on writing every day, it takes time to create a post. And I have often selected professional projects challenging by their timeline or their innovation level (or both) 🙂
MIDJOURNEY
Unleash creativity
I have always been passionated by computer graphics. It was my original diploma. And, even if my professional career went to digital solutions, I have always monitor with a specific preference the evolution of the domain.
My first use of MidJourney was almost by accident, reading a post on data science from Cassie Kozyrkov.
Unlike my daughter, I am not an artist, but I admire the process of creation of a drawing or a painting.
Using this tool was a revelation, finding a middle ground betwen knowledge of computer graphics technics, imagination and hard work learning how to create and refine a generation prompt.
I played that day on the generation of images around the mystical phoenix and .. the new branding of that website was born.
